Snack Mix
- 2 cups Corn Chex® cereal
- 1 cup mini pretzel twists
- 2 cups Rice Chex® cereal
- 2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios cereal or plain Cheerios
- 1 cup Valentine’s Day M&M’s red, white, and pink (plus extra for topping)
White Chocolate Coating
- 3-1/4 cups white chocolate chips (just under 2 bags)
- 1-1/2 teaspoons vegetable oil or canola oil
Optional Toppings
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare Sheet Pan: Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
- Mix Snack Ingredients: In a very large bowl, combine the Corn Chex, mini pretzel twists, Rice Chex, Honey Nut Cheerios, and 1 cup of Valentine’s M&M’s. Stir gently to mix all ingredients evenly.
- Melt White Chocolate: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine 3 cups of white chocolate chips with the vegetable oil. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir for 15 seconds. Microwave for an additional 15 seconds and stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. If needed, continue microwaving in 15-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted.
- Coat Snack Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the snack mix. Working quickly, gently stir until all pieces are coated with white chocolate. Then transfer the coated mix to the prepared sheet pan and spread it into an even layer.
- Add Toppings: Immediately sprinkle the remaining Valentine’s M&M’s and optional Valentine’s Day sprinkles over the top for color and extra texture.
- Optional Decoration: Melt the remaining 1/4 cup white chocolate chips in the microwave. Transfer melted chocolate to a small plastic bag, cut off the tip, and pipe decorative stripes across the snack mix.
- Set and Serve: Allow the white chocolate to firm and harden at room temperature or chill in the fridge for about 10–20 minutes until set. Once hardened, break into pieces and serve.
- Enjoy and Feedback: Enjoy your Valentine Snack Mix and please leave a review to share your experience.
