Description

Delight your guests with these adorable Strawberry Santa's featuring a creamy vanilla cream cheese frosting. Perfect for holiday parties or a festive dessert, these bite-sized treats combine fresh strawberries with a smooth, sweet cream cheese filling and chocolate chip eyes for a whimsical touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberries

  • 12 strawberries

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • mini chocolate chips (about 24 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Make the Cream Cheese Frosting: Place the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar into a medium bowl. Mix until creamy and well combined.
  2. Thicken the Frosting: Add the heavy cream and continue mixing for 4-5 minutes until the mixture is thick, smooth, and creamy.
  3. Prepare the Strawberries: Carefully wash the strawberries and dry them thoroughly so the filling adheres properly. Cut off the stems and then slice 1/4 off the top of each strawberry to create a smaller cone shape for Santa’s hat. Set these hat pieces aside.
  4. Assemble the Santa Body: Using a piping bag, pipe the cream cheese mixture onto the larger bottom parts of the strawberries to create Santa’s beard and body.
  5. Add the Hat: Place the smaller top strawberry pieces on the filled larger pieces to form Santa’s hat.
  6. Add Frosting Details: Dust powdered sugar over the hats for a snowy effect if desired. Use the piping bag to add a white pom-pom on top of each hat and pipe two side swirls below the pom-pom to create Santa’s mustache.
  7. Make the Eyes: Place two mini chocolate chips on each Santa to form the eyes.
  8. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the Strawberry Santas until ready to serve. Enjoy this festive treat!

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are thoroughly dry before filling to prevent frosting from sliding off.
  • You can substitute mini chocolate chips with small candy pearls or edible beads for eyes.
  • If you don’t have a piping bag, use a plastic sandwich bag with a small corner cut off to pipe the frosting.
  • For a lighter version, reduce the heavy cream by half and substitute the rest with Greek yogurt, though texture will vary.
  • Decorate the hats with red sanding sugar for extra sparkle before adding frosting details.
