Ingredients
Scale
Salmon Bites
- 1 ½ pounds salmon, about 4 filets, skins removed, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Hot Honey Glaze
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- ¼ cup (85 g) hot honey, homemade or store-bought
- parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 390°F to ensure it is hot and ready for cooking the salmon bites evenly.
- Season Salmon: In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Add the salmon cubes and gently toss them to coat all sides with the seasoning mixture.
- Air Fry Salmon: Arrange the seasoned salmon bites in an even layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook for 9-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The salmon should reach an internal temperature of 140-145°F.
- Prepare Hot Honey Sauce: While the salmon cooks, heat the butter and hot honey together in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir until melted and warmed through, then remove from heat.
- Toss Salmon in Sauce: Once the salmon bites are cooked, add them to the saucepan with the hot honey sauce. Gently toss to coat each piece thoroughly with the glaze.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the salmon bites for a fresh finish. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Oven Instructions: Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange seasoned salmon cubes on the sheet and bake for 16 minutes, flipping halfway through, until salmon reaches 145°F. Toss with hot honey sauce and garnish with parsley before serving.
- You can use store-bought or homemade hot honey for the glaze depending on your preference.
- Make sure the salmon bites are about 1 inch to ensure quick, even cooking.
- If your air fryer basket is small, cook the salmon in batches to avoid overcrowding and ensure crispiness.
- Use a meat thermometer to check doneness for perfectly cooked salmon bites.
