Description

Crispy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Wings baked to perfection with a savory blend of spices, topped with a rich garlic butter sauce, fresh parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese. Perfect for a delicious appetizer or main course, these wings offer a satisfying crunch and irresistible taste.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Rub

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (optional)

Main

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Parmesan Wing Sauce

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 200C/400F and arrange a rack in the middle of the oven to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
  2. Prepare Spice Mix: In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and baking powder if using. This will create a flavorful dry rub for the wings.
  3. Season Wings: Place the chicken wings in a baking dish and evenly sprinkle the spice mix over them. Toss to coat thoroughly. Drizzle olive oil over the wings to help crisp the skin during baking.
  4. Bake Wings: Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 45 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, and fully cooked inside.
  5. Make Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While wings bake, melt butter in a small pot over low heat. Add minced garlic and chopped parsley, stirring until the garlic becomes fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat to avoid burning.
  6. Coat Wings with Sauce: Remove wings from the oven and pour the warm garlic butter sauce over them. Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese generously on top.
  7. Finish Baking: Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to allow the Parmesan to melt and the wings to become extra crispy and browned.

Notes

  • TO STORE: Transfer leftover wings into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days to maintain freshness.
  • TO FREEZE: Place leftovers in a shallow freezer-safe container and freeze for up to 6 months for longer storage.
  • TO REHEAT: Reheat wings in the oven or air fryer to preserve crispiness; avoid microwaving as it will make wings soggy.
  • Baking powder helps achieve extra crispy skin but can be omitted if preferred.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the best texture and flavor.
