Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 6 whole pickles (cut into 24 quarters)
- 1½ cups Panko Breadcrumbs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons Montreal Steak seasoning or regular steak seasoning
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Prepare dry coating: In a medium bowl, add the all-purpose flour.
- Prepare egg wash: In a second medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
- Prepare breadcrumb mixture: In a third medium bowl, mix the Panko breadcrumbs with Montreal Steak seasoning thoroughly.
- Coat pickles: Dip each pickle quarter first into the flour, then into the egg wash, and finally into the seasoned Panko breadcrumbs, making sure each piece is evenly coated. Place coated pickles on a plate.
- Preheat air fryer and spray: Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Arrange pickles in air fryer: Place the coated pickles in a single layer in the basket without overlapping. Spray the tops of the pickles lightly with cooking spray.
- Cook: Air fry at 380 °F for 6 minutes until golden and crispy. Cook remaining pickles in batches following the same method.
- Serve: Remove from air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use dill pickle quarters from the refrigerated section for best flavor and texture.
- Arrange pickles so they do not touch to allow even air circulation in the air fryer.
- If Panko breadcrumbs are unavailable, regular breadcrumbs can be used but may be less crispy.
- Cooking time may vary depending on the size and thickness of pickle slices, so adjust accordingly.
- Store leftover pickles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat leftover pickles in the air fryer for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
- Freezing is not recommended as it will make the pickles soggy and lose their crispy texture.
