Ingredients
Scale
Dough and Filling
- 2 packages refrigerated biscuit dough, such as Pillsbury Grands
- Christmas sprinkles, 1/4 cup (approximately)
- Hershey Kisses, unwrapped (any flavor), 24 kisses
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Brown Sugar Butter Sauce
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a bundt pan by coating it evenly with non-stick spray and set it aside for later use.
- Prepare Dough Balls: Cut each biscuit into quarters using a pizza slicer or knife. Flatten each quarter slightly, add a few Christmas sprinkles and one unwrapped Hershey Kiss to the center, then roll into a tight ball. Set aside each completed ball and repeat until all biscuit pieces are filled.
- Coat Dough in Cinnamon Sugar: In a large resealable zipper bag, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon thoroughly by shaking. Add a few dough balls at a time to the bag and shake until they are fully coated with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Remove the coated dough balls from the bag and place them into the prepared bundt pan in layers until all are used.
- Make the Butter Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the packed brown sugar and stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully melted together, forming a rich glaze.
- Pour Sauce and Bake: Pour the warm brown sugar butter sauce evenly over the coated dough balls in the bundt pan. Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes or until the top is a deep golden brown color and the bread is cooked through.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the bundt pan from the oven and allow the monkey bread to cool for 10 minutes. Carefully place a serving plate on top of the pan and invert to release the bread. Sprinkle additional Christmas sprinkles over the top for extra festive decoration. Serve warm and enjoy the gooey, flavorful treat!
Notes
- Using a pizza slicer makes quartering multiple biscuits at once super simple and efficient.
- You can substitute Hershey Kisses with any small chocolate pieces or candies of your choice.
- Ensure the bundt pan is well-greased to easily release the monkey bread after baking.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before inverting to avoid burns and maintain its shape.
- Feel free to adjust the amount of sprinkles to your taste for more or less sweetness and decorative effect.
