Ingredients
Scale
Assembly
- 6 candy canes unwrapped
- 18 large marshmallows
Chocolate Coating
- 1 cup melting chocolate
- 1 cup white melting chocolate
- ¼ cup green melts
- ¼ cup red melts
Decoration
- 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes
- 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
Instructions
- Assemble: Thread 3 marshmallows onto each candy cane carefully. If the candy canes are unwrapped, proceed gently to avoid breaking them. If leaving the wrappers on, rinse them quickly with water before using.
- Melt the chocolate: Place each type of chocolate—melting chocolate, white melting chocolate, red and green melts—in separate microwave-safe bowls. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each, until the chocolates are melted and smooth. Follow package instructions if they differ.
- Coat: Working swiftly, dip or spoon melted brown chocolate over half of the marshmallow pops and white chocolate over the other half, covering the marshmallows completely while leaving the candy cane loops exposed. Place them on parchment paper to set.
- Decorate: While the chocolate coating is still wet, generously sprinkle crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles over the marshmallow pops. Melt the red and green candy melts as per package directions and drizzle them artistically over some of the pops using a piping bag or spoon. Let the marshmallow pops sit aside for 5 minutes to harden.
- Serve: Once hardened, the marshmallow pops are ready to enjoy immediately or store for later.
Notes
- Storage: Store marshmallow pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days. In warm climates, refrigerate to keep them firm.
- Freezing: Freezing is not recommended as it may affect the texture and quality of the marshmallow pops.
- Tips: Crush candy canes easily by placing them in a ziplock bag and using a rolling pin or a food processor. Ensure the chocolate coating hardens completely before storing to prevent sticking.
