Description

Create festive and delicious Brownie Christmas Trees using baked brownie mix circles stacked and decorated with green frosting, holiday sprinkles, and yellow star toppers, perfect for holiday parties and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale

Brownie Base

  • 1 box brownie mix any brand, baked and cooled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 3 round cookie/biscuit cutters in varying sizes

Green Frosting

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk
  • green food coloring
  • disposable piping bag
  • Wilton Star tip 1m

Decorations

  • holiday sprinkles
  • yellow star toppers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Green Frosting: In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar, softened butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add 1 tablespoon of milk at a time and mix until the frosting reaches a smooth, pipeable consistency. Add green food coloring until the desired shade is achieved.
  2. Fill the Piping Bag: Attach the Wilton Star tip 1m to the disposable piping bag and fill it with the prepared green frosting.
  3. Cut the Brownie Circles: Using the three different sized round cookie cutters, gently cut out brownie circles from the baked and cooled brownie sheet.
  4. Assemble the Brownie Christmas Trees: Starting with the largest brownie circle, place it on your serving tray and pipe frosting on top. Stack the medium and then the smallest brownie circle on top, each separated with a layer of frosting to resemble a Christmas tree shape.
  5. Decorate the Trees: Pipe additional frosting on the top of the smallest brownie circle to form the tree's peak. Add a yellow star topper and sprinkle holiday sprinkles onto the frosting to add festive decoration.
  6. Repeat: Repeat the assembly and decorating process with the remaining brownie circles until all trees are formed.

Notes

  • Ensure brownies are fully cooled before cutting to prevent crumbling.
  • Adjust the frosting consistency with milk for easier piping if needed.
  • Use any holiday-themed sprinkles you prefer for decoration.
  • The star toppers can be edible sugar stars or decorative picks.
  • For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free brownie mix.
